"A "HAPPY" OR "BLESSED" NEW YEAR?

WHICH WILL IT BE?

The Word of God states: "BLESSED" is the Person in whose Heart God Himself has taken up residence. To all who have received JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR this charge is given: "Do you not know that your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a Price; therefore, Glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are GOD'S!" I Corinthians 6:19-20

"YOU will show me the Path of Life for IN YOUR PRESENCE THERE IS FULLNESS OF JOY!" Psalm 16:11 Perhaps Instead of saying "HAPPY NEW YEAR" we should say "A BLESSED NEW YEAR" for it "MIGHT NOT" be a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" "IF" our "HAPPINESS" is destroyed by circumstances that might bring Sorrow, Pain, and possibly, even a Departure of a Loved One. "TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND "HE" WILL "DIRECT" YOUR PATH!" Proverbs 3:5-6

A "BLESSED NEW YEAR" is one that the TRIALS OF LIFE cannot Destroy! TRUE BELIEVERS are not "BLESSED" because of what the world may give, but because of what GOD has given through the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Fortune, Good or Bad, should never be the "KEY" to a true Believer's HAPPINESS! Digest carefully these words recorded by the Apostle Paul: "Rejoice in the Lord Always. And again I will say, REJOICE!"

And then, this Giant Servant of Christ penned these words: "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have "LEARNED" in "WHATEVER" state I am, to be CONTENT! I know how to be "ABASED" and I know how to "ABOUND!" Everywhere and in "ALL" things I have "LEARNED" both to be "FULL" and to be "HUNGRY" both to "ABOUND" and to "SUFFER" NEED. I CAN DO "ALL" THINGS THROUGH "CHRIST" WHO STRENGTHENS ME." Philippians 4:4-13

Did Paul mature to this level of Faith and Trust immediately at his Conversion? NO NEVER! He said, "I HAVE "LEARNED!" O yes, Christian Friend, he "LEARNED" as he endured much Pain, Rejection and Physical Suffering for the cause of Christ, that his "JOY" was not dependant upon these severe circumstances that touched his life, but on the PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST, his LORD and SAVIOR.

That's why he and Silas, after being BEATEN with many STRIPES, and put into PRISON with their FEET placed in STOCKS, could at Midnight, Pray and Sing Hymns of Praise to God, that resulted in the conversion of the Philippian Jailer and his family. What a Testimony! YES, EVEN IN PRISON THEY WERE "REJOICING IN THE LORD!"

The Prophet Habakkuk wrote: "Though the Fig Tree may not blossom, nor Fruit be on the Vines; Though the labor of the Olive may Fail, and the Fields yield no Food; Though the Flock may be cut off from the Fold, and there be no Herd in the Stalls, YET I WILL "REJOICE" IN THE LORD! I WILL "JOY" IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION!" Habakkuk 3:17-18

As we face this challenging "NEW YEAR" with all its Potential and Uncertainty, remember, "THE LORD DIRECTS OUR STEPS!" Proverbs 16:9 And the Lord has promised, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU!" Hebrews 13:5 We are exhorted to

"TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEARTS, AND TO LEAN NOT ON OUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; BUT IN ALL OUR WAYS TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND "HE" WILL "DIRECT" OUR PATH!" Proverbs 3:5-6

TRUST HIM FRIEND, FOR THAT'S THE LORD'S PROMISE!

"Happiness is not something you postpone for the future;

"DECEMBER 7, 1941"

Mitsuo Fuchida earned a place in World History as the Leader of Japan's surprise attack at Hawaii on DECEMBER 7, 1941, aimed at the U.S. Navy Ships based at Pearl Harbor. It was Fuchida who sent the Famous Radio Message Code Words, TORA, TORA, TORA! This three word message told Fuchida's Superiors, Planner Minoru Genda, and Admirals Nagumo and Yamamoto that complete surprise had been achieved.

It was an attack that occurred fifty-five minutes before there was even a Declaration of War against the United States by the Government of Japan. The Goal of the Attack was to sufficiently cripple the US Fleet so that Japan could then attack and capture the Philippines and Indo-China, and secure access to the raw materials needed to maintain its position as a Global Military and Economic Power.

Imperial Admiral Yamamoto, who conceived, designed and promoted the attack, cautioned against a War with the United States. Having twice held Naval Attachï¿½ositions within the Japanese Embassy in the US Capitol, he knew the Industrial Strength, Material Wealth and Temperament of the United States. However, overruled by his Superiors, he dedicated his efforts to accomplish a successful attack. Upon completion of the attack, he is quoted to have said, "WE HAVE AWAKENED A SLEEPING GIANT AND HAVE INSTILLED IN HIM A TERRIBLE RESOLVE!"

"HOW ACCURATE WERE HIS WORDS!

Approaching Pearl Harbor, Mitsuo Fuchida saw the rays of the early morning sun shining through the clouds, and he felt it was a Good Omen because it had the appearance of the Japanese Flag. However, the day would soon come when Fuchida, would be Serving under a Different Flag,

THE FLAG OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

In 1960, I was in Germany on a Mission Visit to the Displaced Persons Center in West Berlin. The opportunity was given to Minister to so many who had fled from behind the Iron Curtain seeking Freedom and a New Life in the West. It was there that I had the privilege of meeting Mitsuo Fuchida! No longer was he a Pilot for the Japanese Navy, for he had become a Warrior for the cause of Jesus Christ.

In 1949, hearing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Fuchida opened his heart to the Lord, and embraced Him as his personal Lord and Savior. In 1952, Fuchida became a "MISSIONARY" to his own people and to the World, sharing the Glorious, Transforming Message of the Gospel of Christ. What a "JOY" it was to meet this "DYNAMIC" Fellow Servant of Jesus Christ.

That Day on the Platform there were two AMERICANS, A GERMAN, AND A JAPANESE, all from the Countries Engaged in World War II. However, on that Special Day, no longer in a battle against each other, for we were Joined Together under a New Banner, THE BANNER OF THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST! We were Eternally Tied Together with a Steadfast Faith in the Crucified, Buried, and Risen Savior, with one passion, TO LEAD PRECIOUS SOULS TO THE "ONLY ONE" WHO HAS THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE, JESUS CHRIST.

The Powerful Gospel Message has "NOT" and will "NEVER" lose its POWER, for, as the Apostle wrote, "I am not ASHAMED of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, for it is the POWER OF GOD unto SALVATION to "EVERYONE" who BELIEVES!" Romans 1:16 O yes, Friend, "The Message of the CROSS to those who are PERISHING, is FOOLISHNESS, but unto us who are SAVED, IT IS THE POWER OF GOD!" I Corinthians 1:18

Friend, the Day is fast approaching when the Lord will Return as He Promised, and when we stand before the KING of kings and LORD of lords, as Faithful Servants, we will hear our SUPERIOR, THE LORD OF CREATION AND SALVATION say, "MISSION SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED."

"IN EVERYTHING???"

At this "THANKSGIVING SEASON" do you have a Reason to "THANK?" The amazing Apostle Paul wrote: "IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS!" I Thessalonians 5:18 In "EVERYTHING?" Did he really mean "EVERYTHING?" I ask this question because I am fully aware of the Tremendous Suffering this Dedicated Servant endured for the cause of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. Before you and I respond to this question, it will do us all much good to recall some of the "STEPS" and "STOPS" in his life.

Paul wrote: "In Labors more Abundant, in Stripes above Measure, in Prisons more Frequently, in Deaths Often. From my People Five Times I received Forty Stripes, Minus One. Three times I was Beaten with Rods, Once I was Stoned, three times I was Shipwrecked and spent a night and a day in the deep; In Journey's often, in Perils of Waters, in Perils of Robbers, in Perils of my own Countrymen, in Perils of the Gentiles, in Perils in the City, in Perils in the Wilderness, in Perils in the Sea, in Perils among False Brethren; in Weariness and Toil, in Sleeplessness often, in Hunger and Thirst, in Fasting often, in Cold and without Clothing. Besides the other things, what comes upon me daily, MY DEEP CONCERN FOR ALL THE CHURCHES." II Corinthians 11:23-28

The account of this Faithful Servant does not end at this point, for when he was finally imprisoned in Rome because of his Witness for Christ, as he awaited his execution by the decree of Caesar, he could still write: "FOR TO ME TO "LIVE" IS CHRIST, AND TO "DIE" IS GAIN!" Philippians 1:21 Earlier he wrote to the Thessalonian Believer's with these words of encouragement: "REJOICE ALWAYS! PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! IN "EVERYTHING" GIVE "THANKS" FOR THIS IS THE "WILL" OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS FOR YOU!" Say Christian Friend, "DO YOU HAVE REASON TO GIVE THANKS?

God help us to learn something from this Loyal Servants Heart before we Complain about some of the Hurts and Disappointments that have touched our Lives. May we gain new insight on the Whole Theme of "THANKSGIVING," the kind of "THANKSGIVING" that comes from the Heart and Declares that we have "LEARNED TO BE "CONTENT" WHATEVER THE CIRCUMSTANCES." That we have Learned "How to be Abased, and how to Abound; Everywhere and in "ALL" things, that we have Learned both to be Full and to be Hungry, both to Abound and to Suffer Need. FOR WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS US." Philippians 4:11-13

There are times when the Christian Life is a "BED OF ROSES!" O yes, that is absolutely true, "BUT" we Learn ever so Quickly, that even "ROSES" HAVE "THORNS" that can bring "PAIN" when they "PIERCE" us. We often sing the song "IT'S NOT AN EASY ROAD WE ARE TRAVELING TO HEAVEN," but we must never forget the wonderful truth that Jesus is Walking right beside us ALL THE WAY, "And He Will Never Leave Us Nor Forsake Us." Hebrews 13:5

Even when the Road is Rough, when you lay your head upon the pillow at night, instead of counting your many "PROBLEMS" start counting your many "BLESSINGS" for "God has Blessed us with "EVERY" SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST....TO THE PRAISE OF THE GLORY OF HIS GRACE, BY WHICH HE MADE US ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED. IN WHOM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE." Ephesians 1:3-6

At this "THANKSGIVING SEASON" let's join Hearts together and say, "I will BLESS the LORD at "ALL" times. HIS PRAISE shall "CONTINUALLY" be in my Mouth. My Soul shall make its BOAST in the LORD; the Humble shall hear of it and be Glad. O MAGNIFY THE LORD WITH ME, AND LET US EXALT HIS NAME TOGETHER." Psalm 34:1-3 "BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME, BLESS HIS HOLY NAME. BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT "ALL" HIS BENEFITS." Psalm 103

"PEOPLE WHO NEED PEOPLE!"

You have heard the song "People, People who need People, are the Luckiest People in the World." Well, I don't believe in LUCK, but I do believe having "FRIENDS" especially the Right Friends, is an important part of life. AUGUST has been set aside as the Month to remember our FRIENDS! In fact some calendars have set AUGUST THE 4TH AS "FRIENDSHIP" DAY! Still others place it in the second week of AUGUST.

Do you have many FRIENDS? What does a FRIEND mean to you, and what do you expect in a FRIEND? When the Apostle Paul was in a Prison Cell in Rome, he wrote a letter to a man named Philemon about his runaway Slave, Onesimus. I love the way he addressed this man. "Paul, a Prisoner of Christ Jesus and Timothy our Brother, to Philemon, OUR BELOVED "FRIEND!" Philemon 1:1 Paul did not Fail to "REMEMBER" his "FRIENDS!" Often he wrote to those who were his "FRIENDS" and Fellow Laborers in Christ.

You will be Blessed if you take the time to read the Sixteenth Chapter of the Book of Romans, where you find a LONG LIST OF FRIENDS the Apostle Loved in the Lord. To often we FORGET those who have been wonderful FRIENDS over the years. I read an Article written by a FRIEND, Mr. Ed Gebhart, a Sports Writer in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. "Around the corner I have a FRIEND in this great City that has no end. But the Days go by and the Weeks rush on, and before I knew it, a Year had gone; and I never see my old FRIENDS Face, for life has a Swift and Terrible Pace. He knows I like him just as well, as in the Days when I rang his bell, and he rang mine. We were Younger then, and now we are BUSY, TIRED MEN. Tired of playing a Foolish Game; Tired of trying to make a Name. "Tomorrow," I say, "I will call on Jim just to show I am thinking of him." But Tomorrow Comes, and Tomorrow Goes, and the Distance between us Grows and Grows, around the corner, YET MILES AWAY! "HERE'S A TELEGRAM, SIR, JIM DIED TODAY!" And that's what we Get and Deserve Today. Around the Corner, A VANISHED "FRIEND!"

How thankful we all should be for "FRIENDSHIPS" that have Blessed our Lives in so many Special Ways. It's sometimes very difficult to keep in touch with them all, but we know the attempt should be made, and yet so often we fail to REMEMBER. Have you ever met someone who said, "I DON'T HAVE A FRIEND in the World." How Sad! For there is ONE who wants to be EVERYONE'S "FRIEND," and that ONE is the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

To His Followers, He said, "You are My "FRIENDS" if you do whatever I have commanded you. No longer do I call you Servants, for a Servant does not know what his Master is doing; but I have called you "FRIENDS" for all things that I have heard from MY FATHER, I HAVE MADE KNOWN TO YOU." John 15:14-15 When we Embrace JESUS CHRIST as our LORD and SAVIOR, we become the "FRIENDS" OF GOD! What a Privilege! What an Honor to be called a "FRIEND" OF "GOD" OUR CREATOR AND REDEEMER!

Writing about Abraham of Old, James wrote, "Abraham Believed God, and it was Accounted to him for Righteousness, AND HE WAS CALLED THE "FRIEND" OF GOD!" James 2:23 Isn't that Great? The Lord Jesus Christ is the most IMPORTANT "FRIEND" you could ever have in this World. He will not only be a "FRIEND" to you in this World, but will be your "FRIEND" FOREVER, FOR HE HAS A PREPARED PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR HIS PREPARED PEOPLE.

If He is your Lord and Savior, don't let Him become DISTANT because you are to BUSY running here and there; to BUSY to keep HIS FRIENDSHIP fresh as the Morning Dew. Talk to Him Daily, and let Him Speak to you through His Holy, Infallible Word. It will be a time of Daily Spiritual Refreshment, and your JOY IN THE LORD WILL BE FULL AND RUNNING OVER.

TO HAVE A "FRIEND" YOU MUST BE "FRIENDLY!" AND REMEMBER "A GOOD "FRIEND" MAKES A LONG JOURNEY SHORT!" JESUS WANTS TO BE THAT "FRIEND!"

"THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH!"

The LAST SUNDAY OF OCTOBER is set aside to Commemorate a very Significant Event in the HISTORY OF THE REDEEMED CHURCH. It was on OCTOBER 31, 1517 that MARTIN LUTHER, a man of strong Biblical conviction, posted his Ninety-Five Theses on the Door of the Church in Wittenberg, Germany.

Luther, a German Theologian, was the Leader of the "REFORMATION" that led to the Birth of Protestantism. With the Word of God in hand, he taught that the Bible should be the "SOLE AUTHORITY" FOR FAITH AND LIFE, AND THAT A PERSON IS "JUSTIFIED," MADE "RIGHTEOUS," IN THE EYES GOD, SOLELY THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST APART FROM ANY GOOD WORKS OF THE FLESH. In other words, he simply declared the Exact True Message of God's Holy, Infallible Word.

As the Apostle Paul wrote: "I also count all things but loss, for the Excellence of the Knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as Rubbish, that I may gain Christ; and be found in Him, NOT HAVING MY OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is from the Law, but that which is through FAITH in CHRIST, the Righteousness which is from God by FAITH." Philippians 3:8-9

Again he wrote, "For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS. Now to him who WORKS, the WAGES are not counted as GRACE, but as DEBT. But to him who does NOT WORK, but Believes on HIM who JUSTIFIES the Ungodly, his FAITH is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS. Even as David also describes the BLESSEDNESS of the man to whom GOD Imputes Righteousness APART FROM WORKS. "Blessed are those whose LAWLESS DEEDS are FORGIVEN, and whose SINS are COVERED. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD SHALL NOT CHARGE SIN TO HIS ACCOUNT." Romans 4:3-8

Martin Luther was ordained a Priest in 1507, and by 1512 was a Professor of Biblical Theology at Wittenberg University, a position he held for the rest of his life. The Selling of "INDULGENCES" was the First Controversy in which he became involved. Pope Leo X authorized the Archbishop of Mainz, to SELL "INDULGENCES" to raise money for the building of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Johann Tetzel, the "INDULGENCE" seller, told the people that an "INDULGENCE" FREED them from punishment for confessed sins, and could even RELEASE SOULS FROM PURGATORY.

Luther feared, and rightly so, that urging the people to seek Escape from Divine Punishment through "INDULGENCES" would lead them into a False Sense of Security. "What can wash away my Sin? NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS! What can make me whole again, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS. O Precious is the Flow, that makes me White as Snow; No other Fount I know, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS." The Scripture Clearly States that when a Person passes from this Earthly Scene, it is either Heaven or Hell. Heaven for those who Trust "ALONE" the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, and HELL for those who Reject The Lord Jesus Christ.

No Church, nor Any Individual is "ABOVE THE WORD OF GOD!" NO NEVER! The Word of God is "ABOVE" every Person on this Earth, no matter what Status or Position. It is the "ONLY AND FINAL AUTHORITY FOR FAITH AND LIFE!" Its God given Message declares that Eternal Salvation is through FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST "ALONE" and Apart from any Good Works that we can do. "FOR BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED, THROUGH "FAITH" AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE "GIFT" OF GOD, NOT OF "WORKS" LEST ANY ONE SHOULD BOAST." Ephesians 2:8

Is there a place for GOOD WORKS? YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES! BUT, Good Works are to Follow out of sheer LOVE FOR CHRIST and the Great Sacrifice made when He offered up His life to "PAY" the Debt of Sin He did not OWE, to set us "FREE" FOREVER from the Sin Debt we OWED, and could never hope to Pay. Good Works are a visible evidence that Jesus Christ truly is our Lord and Savior. Believers are called upon to "LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN."

Because of His Great Love we have this glorious Promise: "WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? I AM PERSUADED THAT NEITHER DEATH, NOR LIFE, NOR ANGELS, NOR PRINCIPALITIES, NOR POWERS, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME, NOR HEIGHT, NOR DEPTH, NOR ANY OTHER CREATED THING, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD, WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD." Romans 8:38-39

"NOW WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS "FOR" GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED BEFOREHAND THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM." Ephesians 2:9 O yes, Christian Friend, GOOD WORKS can never remove the stains of sin, but, GOOD WORKS Reveals the Reality and Genuineness of our Faith in Jesus Christ. If your Foundation of Life is other than the Crucified, Buried, and Risen Lord Jesus Christ, then, Sad to say, YOUR FOUNDATION IS SINKING SAND.

TURN TO THE ROCK OF AGES, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

AND YOUR LIFE WILL BE ETERNALLY SECURE.

"NATIONAL VETERANS DAY"

On November 11, 1918, at 11 a.m., WORLD WAR I ended. This Day became known as "ARMISTICE DAY." The name was officially given in 1926 through a Congressional Resolution. Twelve years later, it became a National Holiday by similar Congressional Action. If the IDEALISTIC HOPE had been realized that World War I was "THE WAR TO END ALL WARS," November 11 might still be called ARMISTICE DAY. But only a few years later, after the Holiday was proclaimed, WORLD WAR II broke out, and SIXTEEN AND ONE-HALF MILLION AMERICANS took part in this Second Great War. More than 292,000 DIED in ACTUAL COMBAT, but overall, 407,000 DIED IN SERVICE. "ARMISTICE DAY" was then changed to "VETERANS DAY" to "HONOR" ALL "VETERANS!"

IN BATTLE OUR SOLDIERS KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER!

In 1921, an "UNKNOWN" WORLD WAR I American Soldier was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. This site, on a Hillside overlooking the Potomac River and the City of Washington D.C. became the focal point of REVERENCE FOR AMERICA'S VETERANS. HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER KNOWN BUT TO GOD.

FRIEND, THERE IS A SITE ON A HILLSIDE CALLED MOUNT CALVARY

OVERLOOKING THE GREAT CITY OF JERUSALEM!

It is the focal point of "REVERENCE" FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. At "CALVARY," the most "IMPORTANT BATTLE" of ALL TIME was fought. It was the BATTLE fought against SATAN, the father of all lies; against SIN and the SEPARATION and JUDGMENT it brings between a person's Soul and God; and the issue of ONE'S ETERNAL DESTINY!

On that Glorious Day, some to 2000 years ago, the ETERNAL SON OF GOD, JESUS CHRIST was nailed to a CROSS! Yes Friend, "He laid aside all His Heavenly Glory, to be God's Word in the Image of Man; All to show us that LOVE, GRACE, AND MERCY, was the MYSTERY and WONDER of HIS ETERNAL PLAN. JESUS carried our SINS on to CALVARY, with no Sin and no Guilt of His Own. He was nailed to a CROSS of OUR making, but He used it to BRIDGE o'er the GULF TO GOD'S THRONE. NO WONDER WE CALL HIM SAVIOR. NO WONDER WE CALL HIM LORD.

"Who HIMSELF, bore our SINS in HIS OWN BODY on the TREE, that we having DIED to SINS might live for RIGHTEOUSNESS, by WHOSE STRIPES we are HEALED." Glory to God, "HE PRESENTED HIMSELF "ALIVE" AFTER HIS SUFFERING, BY MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS, BEING SEEN OF THEM DURING FORTY DAYS AND SPEAKING OF THE THINGS PERTAINING TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD." Acts 1:3

As we REMEMBER, and give HONOR to the "VETERANS" who gave their "LIVES" to preserve our FREEDOMS, let us REMEMBER, to give HONOR to JESUS CHRIST THE LORD, who gave up "HIS LIFE" to give to "ALL" who place their FAITH in HIM, "FORGIVENESS, PEACE WITH GOD, FREEDOM from the GUILT OF SIN, AND THE 'GIFT" OF ETERNAL SALVATION! YES, IT IS A "GIFT," BUT YOU MUST "RECEIVE" IT BY ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR.

FRIEND, HE "LOVES" YOU AND WANTS HEAVENS BEST FOR YOU. BECAUSE HE LIVES, WE TOO, WHO LOVE HIM WILL LIVE WITH HIM ETERNALLY.

"JESUS CHRIST - TRUE GOD AND TRUE MAN!"

The First Coming of Christ, the Messiah, was to provide a "BRIDGE" to God, accomplished through His Death on the Cross of Calvary as our Substitute, and His Victorious Resurrection from the Dead. At His Birth, the Angel declared to Humble Shepherds, "Behold I bring you Good Tidings of Great Joy which shall be for "ALL" the people. For unto you is born this day in the CITY OF DAVID, a "SAVIOR" who is CHRIST THE LORD!" Luke 2:10

The Apostle Paul later wrote concerning Jesus Christ, "Who being in very nature GOD, did not consider EQUALITY with GOD something to be GRASPED, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a Servant, being made in Human Likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the Cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him to the Highest Place, and gave Him the Name that is ABOVE every name; that at the Name of JESUS every knee should bow in Heaven and on Earth, and under the Earth, and EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS "LORD" TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER." Philippians 2:5-11

Now, the Bible has a Great Deal to say about "THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST!!" In fact, those who have numbered the times the Word of God speaks about His Return, indicate that one in every four verses of Scripture deals with this very important future event. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is mentioned 10,385 times.

WOW! THAT IS TRULY AWESOME!

Dates have been set by individuals and religious groups concerning His Coming, but when the date arrived, "CHRIST DID NOT APPEAR!" WHY? Simply because Jesus Himself stated, "BUT OF THAT DAY AND HOUR, NO MAN KNOWS; NO, NOT EVEN THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN, BUT MY FATHER ONLY!" Matthew 24:36

When Jesus returns, and I sincerely believe the day is fast approaching, you and I may be ALIVE, for the Scripture declares, "BEHOLD I SHOW YOU A MYSTERY; WE SHALL NOT ALL DIE, BUT, WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED, IN A FLASH, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, AT THE LAST TRUMP!" I Corinthians 15:51-52 When Christ appears, "THE DEAD "IN CHRIST" WILL RISE FIRST, THEN WE WHO ARE "ALIVE" AND REMAIN, SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR, AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD." I Thessalonians 4:17

Fellow Christian, when this Glorious Day arrives, the Apostle John writes, "BELOVED, NOW WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, AND IT DOES NOT YET APPEAR WHAT WE SHALL BE, BUT WE "KNOW" THAT WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM WHEN WE SEE HIM AS HE IS!" I John 3:2

As you Celebrate the glorious message of the FIRST COMING OF CHRIST to bring us our Salvation, be sure to REMEMBER, "HE IS COMING AGAIN!" ARE YOU READY! IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED HIM AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR, REJOICE FOR YOU WILL TRULY HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS.
